After the concept of cloud computing was initially introduced, there was a thought that it was something to do with organizations, small SMEs and SMBs; and common surfers & users of net have no business in it. But actually the story is exactly the opposite.

Sky Drive from Microsoft is offering 7 GB of cloud storage with the facility to extend upto 25 GB as loyalty bonus.

Well, most of you would argue why Dropbox then, it provides you the facility to extend its storage capacity upto 16 GB through referrals and it has developer ecosystem better than anybody in this league; Dropbox also provide you features where your friends and colleagues can directly access files from your Dropbox via a link. Google is still untested at this stage though. All these features and other awesome apps have launched Dropbox to $5 billion Company in no time. 

What’s more, Google Drive offers you other than storage capacity of 5 GB; OCR facility where you can search your documents or PDFs though the keywords present in these documents. This is a powerful feature, we might call.
In case of Sky Drive, you do get the maximum cloud storage and also you can access your documents and files right from your browser; all you need a hotmail account and rest you can directly upload your files and doc from your browser, that’s it.

The above features come for free, but if you want to extend your storage capacity you need to shell out few bucks depending on the space you require. Being a top contender in its domain, Dropbox price band is expensive among the most, but sooner rather than later it will definitely reduce its pricing to survive. Most people argue that Google Drive is a move to kill Dropbox but only time will tell who resist the test of time. But for the time being lets all enjoy their service and wait for result of this ‘star war’.
